Anxious to get out and put this to use.

Details Jim? You know, birth weight, length, parents, the sort of thing we have to tell about our grandchildren!
I just ordered a custom knife (and sheath) after church this morning - my first one.

OAL: 11 inches
Blade length 5.70
Blade thickness: .217
Steel: CPM 3v (HRC 60)
Weight: 9.5 ounces
Handles: Smooth Bone from some poor misguided bovine.
Model: Bark River Bravo 1.5
Convex edge.
Ferro Rod is 1/2 inch diameter x 5 inches. Eagle is carved antler by Kevin Wald.
I have gone to carrying this, a 10 inch Carona saw and a 3.5 inch small blade, necker, in my kit. I live in the high desert. Lots of pine and quakies. This blade is a batonning machine and still a great slicer. Feather sticks are a breeze. I haven't dressed any large game with it yet. I still like a smaller, 3.5 -4inch blade for that with a thinner profile but It would do the job.

Some people act squeamish when I wear my 3 inch blade as an edc. I can only imagine if I wore this. Still, there is no blade length restriction when worn on belt and visible in Idaho. I wear my blades on the left, cross draw, and CCW on the right.

I was just thinking Sunday about how many folks in our church carry sheath or folding knives . . . I know at least one woman who does . . . don't know if she carries it on Sunday's or not. Ranch country so the only questions might be, "Is that new?, May I see it?, Where'd you get it?"
How many blades do you wear on the left, Jim?!!
