Scottie, what is your point?
One is expensive , one is not?
Hopefully the S won't HTF and I pray every day that it won't. It would not be fun.

Me?
I like knives, cheap knives, expensive knives, free knives, found knives, Gift knives given and received.

Knives made, knives adapted and certainly knives used.

If you have an interest in a knife, for nearly any reason, it is topic worthy, casual mention or deep study, I will tend to read about it, but no, I do not comment often for the last 6 years or so.

Please consider this as encouragement, if you buy or see or make or adapt a knife or whack a flake off of a stone, (or carve whittle from wood or anything else), post it and I will tend to read it.

What version of the SRK is that?

some fun with the druid chopped some small dead maple branches easy to choke up and feather and easy to slip onto the blade if using it in non controlled environment cutting.

Thanks Scotty, that Schrade isn't half bad except for the hollow plastic scales.
It wouldn't take much to dress it up with wood or antler scales and a leather sheath wouldn't hurt either...but then it isn't a 20 dollar knife any more. Looking forward tho the James Ayers proving report.

Hopefully the S won't HTF and I pray every day that it won't. It would not be fun.

it was 18 degrees and it passed  spine wack and point pry. Might pick up another  one in a few before they sell out for a  test sample of 2. it's sitting outside in a snow bank want to see how the steel handles weather.

Have you noticed any difference in performance between the hollow and saber ground versions of the SRK/Recon tanto?
