Wood handles are beautiful.  Wood feels good in the hand. wood can be stabilized but,   Wood moves.  It shrinks, it expands, it absorbs, it cracks, it breaks.     For weatherproof, climate changing, hard  use handles it is hard to beat micarta and G-10.
