Costs about a dollar, and it is maybe 4:5 inches across. Very lightweight.

The lid an be used as a plate, or chopping board.

The noodles inside are quite good too, especially if spring onions, and an ounce of chopped meat is added.

Burn in the campfire after use

Buy at your local Chinese food store.
VERY handy LP! <img src='http://hoodswoods.net/IVB/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />/>

The Chinese are ingenious when it comes to cheap solutions.... I like that...disposable camp cookware....

only the finest quality for my friend Peter...

I will test this type of noodles on my next backpack trip....and I'm sure Mr. Bollieau would probably like to test this as well.

Great idea! Back in the day some liked the lightweight Cool Whip bowl. I will cruise the Asian stores and the grocery stores nearby to check your idea out further. I think some may offer rectangular or square bowls too.
Looking at mine, I think now that it is 5 inches across.

These noodles are also available in a plastic mug, and some of them have a nice little folding plastic fork in them.

Anyway, it is good to know . . .

I think. <img src='http://hoodswoods.net/IVB/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
Not to take away from your thunder Limey, but Colonel Sanders now uses portion control and the side dishes including the mashed potatoes & gravy come in slight smaller containers than the one you had pictured with good snap tight tops and they are easily reused numerous times. They are great for small quantities of left overs for lunch the next day and the stand up to microwavable use also. Probably never would have though of them if it hadn't been for your post.
Ah that is good to know Jimbo.

I am always on the look out for disposable item to use while trekking out.

Ah Pete; just roll your food up in your spare mocassins, that way it scares the bugs away. <img src='http://hoodswoods.net/IVB/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sick.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sick' />
