That cleared up so many questions.
I loved it! Why dem weren't even cat head biscuits. Still, he was guilty of breaking pride and tradition!

I said "Buscuits and Gravy?" Huh
Dave said "Ain't you ever had Biscuits and Gravy?"
I replied "I'm from Canada, I haven't even heard of Biscuits and Gravy"
Dave invited me over to try some out

It has been my thought that our dear brother has hidden assets that we are not aware of.  Somehow Miss Cindy keeps him around, and that's good enough for me...

Now. Let's complicate things. Does the sausage get cooked and used IN the gravy or served on the side.

Personally, I think sausage belongs IN the gravy and bacon goes on the side!
You Northern folks, probably don't know what "Red Eye Gravy" is either, I suspect.

We found ourselves in Cripple Creek, Colorado, a few years back.  It was late in the afternoon and beginning to get cool, so we stopped in one of their local restaurants and 'Chili' was on the menu.  Since the temperature was becoming cool outside, Chili sounded good.  We don't have a clue as to what we were served, it may have been their dishwater.  First off it was on a plate and not in a bowl, and it was about as thin as some diluted watered down gravy we have seen, but it did not taste like gravy or chili either one.  In fact it had little taste at all, and we did not consume much of it.

Some people like beans in their Chili, and beans are often added as filler to stretch the profit margin in restaurants Chili, but the restaurant in Cripple Creek did not even have beans in their Chili, or whatever it was.

Cripple Creek itself was a quaint little sleepy community itself, one could easily get lost in and stay if you were independently wealthy.  We enjoyed our visit there, but you sure don't want to order Chili in Cripple Creek.
